Lullaby

A piece born from my own exploration of sound, aiming at a lullaby far from the usual melodic clichés.
At its heart is an ostinato arpeggio built on the minor second between the fourth string (E♭) and the third (F♭), a recurring element that creates a hypnotic, enveloping tension.
The tuning
The tuning brings out warm, velvety tones with a slow, dreamy pace: right for lulling a child to sleep, yet structured enough for the concert hall. I play it on a guitar by Silvia Zanchi, luthier in Bergamo.
