I am a composer and I write original music for films, short films and theatre. Every piece is born for that story, those images, that stage, and I orchestrate it for the instruments you want: from solo guitar to ensemble.

In the age of AI-made music

Today you can ask an artificial intelligence for a piece and have it in a minute. It is convenient, but it is music built by averaging what already exists: it sounds like a thousand others and does not really belong to anyone.

If you want your work to be truly unique, if you want to give it value and respect your audience, you can choose a composer of flesh and blood: a person who steps into your story, listens to what you have in mind and writes music that exists only for your work, orchestrated for the instruments you want.

What I can write for you

Scores for films and short films: themes, atmospheres and underscore built on the scenes.
Incidental music for theatre: pieces written for the show, its timing and its changes.
Orchestrations and arrangements: the same theme written for the instruments you want, from solo guitar to string quartet, from winds to early instruments.

Why a composer and not an algorithm

It is truly yours. No subscription to keep active and no platform licence whose rules can change overnight. It is an authored work, written by a person and protected by copyright: we agree the rights to use it in your film or show clearly, once and for all.
It is unique. The music is born for your work and you will not hear it in another film.
It follows the story. It is written on the timing of the scenes and the changes of the show, not on a genre picked from a menu.
You can talk to it. You can explain what you want and discuss it with the person writing it: on the other side there is a musician, not a button.
It has a voice. A lifetime of guitar, lute and archlute, early music, open tunings and progressive rock: a recognisable language, not a statistical average.

Metamorfosi

A prelude that keeps changing shape: it starts in E minor and moves through C♯ minor, G minor, F♯ and B before coming home, sliding from 2/2 into 12/8. Written for solo guitar, it later gained a cello line, written for Mauro Cipriani, and a twelve-string guitar version: the same material transformed for different instruments. About the piece.

Suite in D minor

Written in 1995 for recorder, baroque violin and lute, in the style of early music. Here the Andante with flute, cello and guitar: writing for ensemble and for period instruments. About the piece.

Riscrittura

Born from the poem of the same name by Alfonso Cardamone: music that starts from a text, as happens in theatre. Here played by Angela Lancieri on twelve-string guitar. About the piece.

War

Written for a show: «Luci sul Martino Filetico», a multimedia show staged in Ferentino on 19 July 1998 for a single performance. Three electric guitars, tape, saxophone and quotations. The footage is the original analogue recording. About the piece.
