A three-movement suite exploring the Middle Eastern colours of DAGDAD tuning: dawn, desert, oasis.
The tuning is known as DADGAD; I call it DAGDAD because I read it from the first string.
I. Sunrise
The moment of dawn, when light breaks the dark and everything comes to life.
II. Desert
A journey between worlds and cultures, from early music to progressive rock, with echoes of flamenco.
III. Oasis
The closing movement: after the dawn and the desert, the arrival at the oasis.
